Life story of the cooperative
In the Zaouia douar in Aglou in 2016, a group of women embarked on a journey of change through literacy—an initiative that later transformed into the creation of the SIDI OUAGUAGUE women’s cooperative for couscous production. Despite difficulties, thirty members overcame obstacles with support from agricultural and regional institutions and by obtaining the ONSSA certificate, guaranteeing the quality and safety of their products. Although the cooperative has not yet reached large markets, it moves forward with determination, dreaming of the day its brand will be recognized in every household.
