KENZ AZZOHOUR
Life story of the cooperative
The Kenz Azzohour Agricultural Cooperative for beekeeping was launched in 2020 in Ouarzazate, in response to an urgent need for economic and social empowerment of rural women and youth, by valuing local flora and practicing sustainable beekeeping. The cooperative has 8 members, including two women, and aims to produce high-quality natural honey and its derivatives, while respecting the environment. The cooperative was able to overcome many obstacles through internal training, a clear work plan, and improved marketing. Today, it has a honey valorization unit in "Tamedlin", operates within a solid legal framework, has obtained ONSSA and UCAKO certifications, and is seeking broader prospects through cooperation and discipline.
