Life story of the cooperative
Founded in 2016 in the Dakhla‑Oued Ed‑Dahab region by committed women from the Association for Sustainable Development, this cooperative promotes traditional couscous as a lever for economic empowerment and preservation of local heritage. Obtaining ONSSA certification has strengthened consumer confidence and opened new commercial horizons. Today, the cooperative is a recognized brand of Sahrawi couscous, both within and beyond the region.
