Life story of the cooperative
Officially founded in 2016, the Assif Melloul cooperative emerged from a community initiative aimed at transforming agricultural surpluses into value-added natural products. Composed of twelve members, including six women, it structured its activities around processing and promoting local production. Thanks to its members’ commitment, ongoing training, and institutional support, the cooperative has strengthened its production and commercial capacities. Today, it provides over twenty-six jobs, supports hundreds of local farmers, and is ONSSA certified, with a clear focus on expanding its markets.
