AL KIMMA
Life story of the cooperative
Created in 2013 in Taroudant, the AL QIMMA Saffron Agricultural Cooperative unites eighty-one farmers from six douars, all dedicated to promoting local saffron. The cooperative has established a governance model based on collective work, health standards, and member upskilling. Through ongoing training and awareness-raising, it has strengthened hygiene and traceability practices while developing suitable infrastructure. In 2018, this journey culminated in the construction of its headquarters and the acquisition of health certifications, an export license, and the “Terroir du Maroc” label. Today, AL QIMMA stands as a structuring force in the saffron sector, championing a high-performing and sustainable model.
