AGHSSANE TETOUAN
Life story of the cooperative
On the slopes of the Tetouan mountains, the Aghssane Tetouan Cooperative was founded in 2016 with the ambitious vision of achieving sustainable development for rural women. Starting with twelve members, including eight women, the cooperative established its headquarters in the Mashrouha douar, where it began producing and adding value to agricultural products, medicinal herbs, and aromatic plants. The cooperative has obtained several certifications, including the ONSSA license and the FOODEX export certificate, opening new perspectives in domestic and international markets. The journey has not been without challenges, but through hard work, the cooperative has achieved environmental and economic sustainability by focusing on organic farming, protecting endangered plants, and raising environmental awareness in the community. Today, Aghssane Tetouan is a model of success, carrying a message of women's empowerment and nature preservation.
